Football for children and young people can resume in Scotland as of Monday as we enter Phase Three of the lockdown exit.
Clarkston Colts were delighted to see the Scottish Government confirm the move yesterday and we can't wait to get back to training.
Our coaches and committee met last night via video call to begin to plan our return and agreed we would spend the next few days working through the guidance from sportscotland.
The Colts are awaiting information from the SFA to provide more clarity, which we had hoped to have yesterday.
We have decided not to set a firm date for a return until we have had a chance to assess things and put any measures in place we may have to. But we are very hopeful of being in a position to have a start date within the next week or so. Maybe sooner.
Clarkston Colts coach Jack Haugh said: "We can't wait to get back to training and to see our kids again. We know it will have been a difficult time for them away from their friends and we are eager to give them a chance to catch up.
"However, we have agreed to give ourselves more time to work through the guidelines properly to ensure we meet all the requirements set out by the Scottish Government.
"We hope to be able to provide more clarity to parents and players in the coming days."
