Clarkston Colts Community Club are delighted to announce that we are seeking a passionate youth football coach to join our dedicated group of volunteers.
This is an exciting time for the team with the addition of extra age groups and we would like the right individual to be part of it.
The ideal candidate will have a background in the game and be ready to support the development of players at 2014/15/16s both on and off the park.
This is a voluntary role working during the course of a football season (approximately from August to May). As well as the chance to join one of North Lanarkshire’s up-and-coming football clubs, you will be supported as you make your way through the coaching pathway and given the opportunity to help shape the future of the team.
About Us
At Clarkston Colts, we exist to improve and shape the lives of young people in a positive and engaging way. We aim to provide a pressure-free, empowering, supportive setting for our players and coaches to be the best they can be. From the future Andy Robertsons to kids taking their first steps onto a pitch, everyone is welcome at The Colts.
Our new coach will be responsible for delivering sessions for our 2014/15/16 age groups, which have been added to our existing structure this summer. You will work closely with the club’s head coach to devise a fun programme of activities to help our youngest players begin their football journey.
The successful applicant will have a passion for youth football and working with people from all different backgrounds. While it is desirable that you already have some coaching badges, it is not essential and the club will support you financially on your pathway through the SFA ladder.
As well as the head coach, you will work closely with a dedicated team of volunteers to deliver two weekly sessions and, in time, games at the weekend.
We offer
Full support to continue your coaching pathway, including financial assistance to pay for courses
Existing coaching and club structures with dedicated volunteers on hand to work together for the benefit of all of our players
Access to all of the equipment needed and the possibility of securing any other items deemed necessary
The chance to help shape the future of the football club as you see it. The sky is the limit for the Colts and we hope to continue to grow in the coming years
What we want
The successful applicant must:
Have a passion for youth football and giving players the chance to express themselves in a fun, pressure-free environment
Have the drive to support players from all different backgrounds and abilities
Be able to give up around 5-10 hours per week for training, travel, games, and preparation
Confident and engaging personality
Be prepared to learn and grow as a coach with the full support of everyone at Clarkston Colts
It is desirable - but not essential - to have:
A 1.2 Children’s Coaching Certificate from the SFA
A driving licence and mode of transport
Confidence in using social media to help us continue to build our media platforms
To apply, simply send a short CV to: clarkstoncolts@gmail.com.
