Clarkston Colts announce plans to add extra age groups

CLARKSTON Colts are delighted to announce plans to add extra age groups to our team.

We can today confirm our intention to expand The Colts with the addition of 2014, 2015, and 2016 sides, which will be launched within the next few months.

It doesn’t matter if your little one has already been touted as the next Andy Robertson or hasn’t stepped on a pitch, everyone - both boys and girls - can come along and score some affordable football fun.

Coach Jack Haugh said: “This is an incredibly exciting time for our club as we take the next step on our journey.

“We can’t wait to add more age groups to the team and give as many children in North Lanarkshire as possible the chance to get their first taste of football.

“During our short history, we have proudly welcomed anyone to the Colts and this will always be the case. No matter your ability or where you are from, we believe this could be the club for you.”

As well as coaching from our dedicated team of volunteers - who are all qualified to an SFA level, PVG approved, and Covid compliant - players will get the chance to enjoy fun activities off the park.

In the past, the Colts have gone bowling, played bubble football, and even hosted Hallowe’en parties. We’ve also taken part in annual football tournaments in Ayr.

We are also keen to continue to help the community across North Lanarkshire and last year held our first ever foodbank drive.

Having recently taken the decision to close down our 2009 side, we believe the restructuring of the club will give us the best chance of being there for as many children as possible.

“We have been planning this move for a long time and can’t wait to get started” Jack added.

If your child would like to take their first steps in football, please fill in our “Expression of Interest” form here.

You can also message any of our social media pages. Full details of training times and locations will be confirmed in due course.
